Job summary

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Safety Engineer to join the Loss Prevention organization. The role focuses on implementing the Safety Management System, field safety inspections, and incident investigations across Saudi Aramco facilities.

You will lead risk assessments, manage contractor safety, and deliver Loss Prevention training, with responsibilities extending to after-hours support and mentoring LP personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 7 years of experience as a safety professional in oil & gas, petrochemicals, or related industries.
• Excellent ability to communicate in English with peers and management; clear oral and written reports.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System and related safety processes.
• Conduct field inspections to assess compliance with company and international codes and standards; develop corrective actions.
• Identify and mitigate safety tasks and control methodologies (e.g., PWHT, LOTO, hydrogen sulfide, confined space).
• Participate in safety studies using risk assessment methodologies (PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs) and incident investigations.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; provide technical assistance after hours.
• Engage in worksite contractor safety management and prequalification activities.
• Support incident reporting, classification, root-cause analysis, and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver Loss Prevention training to employees and contractors; mentor LP personnel.
