Job summary

DP World is seeking a Plant Workshop Electrical Technician Class 1 to support the plant workshop operations in Jeddah. You will maintain and enhance MEWS electrical systems, lead technicians and apprentices, and uphold DP World safety standards.

You will diagnose electrical faults, execute upgrades, and document activities while coordinating with engineers to ensure reliable plant performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and plant equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, independent work and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in the plant workshop following safety guidelines.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance for electrical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in plant equipment including control panels and motors.
• Participate in electrical upgrades, modifications and retrofitting projects.
• Provide leadership and training to technicians and apprentices in the workshop.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
