Job summary

A global engineering and construction company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Saudi Aramco EPC projects, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in using Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis. This role includes preparing reports and mentoring junior engineers, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our team on our site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using recognized planning tools (Primavera P6).
• Monitor project progress and provide early identification of schedule risks and delays.
• Coordinate with project management, design, procurement, construction, and other disciplines to integrate schedules across all project activities.
• Support program controls, planning and implementation, including coordinating high-level resources, schedules and budgets in line with Program objectives.
• Prepare and review master Level 1, 2 & 3 schedules including monitoring progress against baseline schedules.
• Prepare and review Recovery Schedules.
• Support preparation and implementation of Program level KPI performance indicators, compliance, improvements and risks.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior management and clients including providing technical support for program presentations.
• Conduct schedule reviews, scenario analysis, and “what-if” planning exercises to optimize project delivery.
• Support risk management by identifying potential schedule-related risks and proposing mitigation measures.
• Ensure adherence to project milestones, critical path analysis, and timely completion of activities.
• Mentor and guide junior planning and scheduling engineers.

Skills

• Proven experience in Saudi Aramco EPC projects is mandatory.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project schedules.
• Proficiency in Project Risk Management using Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis (PERT Master).
