Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major construction project on the West of Riyadh. The role requires strong design management, technical leadership, and hands‑on site management across the GCC.

You will act as the Client’s Mechanical PM during construction, commissioning and handover. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a PMP or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and project delivery.
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Experience working on giga projects, theme parks, or large mixed‑use developments within KSA / GCC.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Client’s Mechanical PM, representing the Developer throughout construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Prepare dashboards, technical reports, and executive updates for senior leadership.
• Lead mechanical planning and scheduling in alignment with the master program.
• Review and approve all mechanical system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty mechanical packages.
• Ensure designs address operational performance, sustainability targets, and long-term maintainability.
• Provide technical input during tendering, including evaluation of mechanical contractors and recommendation reports.
• Support the contracting strategy for major mechanical packages.
• Monitor site installation works, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with civil, electrical, architectural, and ride systems teams to ensure smooth integration.
• Identify mechanical risks that could affect cost, schedule, or safety and apply mitigation strategies.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and performance verification of all mechanical systems.
• Ensure complete mechanical handover, including O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties, and training of operations teams.
