Job summary

FRESME is expanding its FinTech infrastructure division in Riyadh and seeks a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to architect wallet orchestration, payment switching, and SAMA Open Banking microservices.

You will lead cross-functional teams across distributed sites, shaping tech choices and delivery. The role offers on-site placement in Riyadh with visa sponsorship or a Pakistan-based center with GCC travel, and requires strong leadership and hands-on coding across backend and frontend.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend/full-stack production experience (Node.js/TS, Go, Python or Java) with React frontend.
• Experience building payment gateways, digital wallets, or core banking integrations.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols, mTLS, JWT, HSM integration, and tokenization.
• Strong problem-solving and computer science fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and scale high-throughput, low-latency microservices for payment processing and banking integration
• Integrate with regional payment networks (Mada, Visa, Mastercard, STC Pay, 1Link, Raast)
• Design idempotent REST/GraphQL APIs compliant with SAMA Open Banking security specifications
• Lead code reviews, enforce ISO 27001 / PCI-DSS compliance, and establish automated CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Mentor senior and junior backend and frontend engineers across distributed teams

FRESME is expanding its core FinTech infrastructure division. We are hiring a high-caliber Lead Full-Stack Engineer to architect next-generation digital wallet orchestration, payment switching, and SAMA open banking microservices. This role offers flexible options: direct on-site placement in Riyadh (with full visa sponsorship) or placement at our premier Pakistan engineering center with regular travel to the GCC.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and scale high-throughput, low-latency microservices for payment processing and banking integration
• Integrate with regional payment networks (Mada, Visa, Mastercard, STC Pay, 1Link, Raast)
• Design idempotent REST/GraphQL APIs compliant with SAMA Open Banking security specifications
• Lead code reviews, enforce ISO 27001 / PCI-DSS compliance, and establish automated CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Mentor senior and junior backend and frontend engineers across distributed teams

Requirements

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAMA Sandbox, CBB, or SBP regulatory approvals
• AWS / GCP Certified Solutions Architect
