We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Field Engineer - Mechanical to lead and oversee all mechanical engineering supervision activities for a major site supervision consultancy project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations. The Lead Field Engineer - Mechanical will provide technical leadership to a team of mechanical engineers and inspectors, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of complex mechanical building services systems across convention centers, hotels, resorts, mixed-use developments, and large-scale commercial facilities. Your role Lead and manage all mechanical site supervision activities throughout the construction lifecycle. Supervise and coordinate a team of mechanical field engineers, inspectors, and specialist consultants. Ensure all mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable codes and standards. Review and recommend approval of contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions. Monitor installation of HVAC systems, chilled water networks, district cooling interfaces, ventilation systems, plumbing and drainage systems, firefighting systems, LPG systems, fuel systems, and specialist mechanical equipment. Review contractor work schedules and monitor progress against approved project milestones. Coordinate mechanical interfaces with architectural, structural, electrical, ICT, fire and life safety, and specialist systems. Conduct site inspections and audits to verify workmanship quality and compliance with project requirements. Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution. Lead the review and resolution of Requests for Information (RFIs), technical queries, and construction-related issues. Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures and inspection requirements. Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), pressure testing, flushing, balancing, and commissioning activities. Monitor Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) activities for HVAC systems. Verify compliance with international standards, local regulations, and manufacturer recommendations. Coordinate with project controls and commercial teams regarding progress reporting, variation assessments, and technical claims evaluation. Identify construction challenges, technical risks, and interface issues and develop mitigation measures. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements are effectively implemented across all mechanical activities. Participate in progress meetings, technical workshops, coordination meetings, and client presentations. Manage snagging, de-snagging, integrated system testing, operational readiness, and handover activities. Support training and knowledge transfer activities for operations and maintenance teams. Prepare technical reports, progress summaries, inspection records, and management presentations. Mentor and develop junior mechanical engineers and inspectors to maintain high engineering and supervision standards.
