Job summary

NHS Borders is seeking an Employability Manager to lead our employability agenda, developing and delivering pre-employment, work experience and apprenticeship opportunities across our local communities with a focus on widening access for disadvantaged and diverse groups.

• Ability to work with multiple partners to widen access to employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and development of employability, apprenticeship, work experience and school engagement programmes.
• Develop inclusive workforce pathways to reduce barriers to employment.
• Collaborate with internal teams, education providers and external partners to improve programmes.
• Provide expert advice to managers on employability approaches and learning opportunities.
• Lead and manage the employability team, including supervision and development planning.
• Use data and evaluation to monitor impact and support reporting requirements.
• Contribute to workforce planning, people strategy and organisational development.
