Job summary

SLB is seeking a Completion & Well Intervention Engineer to lead well engineering and operations support for completion/workover rigs or rigless completions. You will prepare Completion and Workover Programs, provide technical advisory at the wellsite, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety and performance standards.

You will collaborate with Subsurface and Production, review BoD, assess regulatory requirements, and manage plans, contingencies, and costs to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum, mechanical, chemical engineering or related field.
• IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification preferred.
• Additional certifications in drilling, well integrity, project management, or risk management are an advantage.
• 5-8 years of experience in drilling, completion, workover, and/or well intervention engineering.
• Experience in well planning, engineering design, and operational support.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing: Well Proposals, Basis of Design (BoD), Drilling/Completion/Workover Programs, Cost Estimates/Budgets, End of Well Reports.
• Experience supporting rig operations and providing real-time engineering support during well execution.
• Exposure to risk assessments, incident investigations, and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop Completion and Workover Programs and procedures.
• Provide technical advisory during critical operations at the wellsite.
• Review hardware compatibility and downhole safety requirements.
• Coordinate with service companies and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor progress and costs against plans and AFEs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and IPM standards.
• Lead engineering studies to solve well-related problems.
