Job summary

KFSSHRC Riyadh seeks a PhD-qualified Biomedical/Engineering leader to oversee complex biomedical projects from concept to commercialization. The role requires guiding multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality, and driving innovation while mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate brings 9 years of related experience, multiple patents (2+ commercialized), and strong expertise in experimental design, GMP/ISO, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical/Biological Engineering or related field required.
• Nine years of directly related experience required.
• Minimum of five patents, at least two commercialized.
• Led as PI or in equivalent leadership role on two completed projects and one ongoing project.
• Proven proficiency in experimental design and process optimization.
• Experience with regulatory compliance such as ISO/CE or GMP.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through commercialization.
• Mentor engineers and technicians, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and lead investigations and corrective actions.
• Analyze experimental and production data; develop reports and presentations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones and maintain quality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and technologies to spot opportunities for innovation.
• Guide junior staff and support education and development.
• Adhere to laboratory safety rules and hospital policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
