Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer in Saudi Arabia to lead complex service activities including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and on-site support. You will build strong client relationships and promote ABB’s service portfolio while ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

You will lead automation engineering teams, troubleshoot system issues, and contribute to proposals and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering or related field.
Extensive automation experience with DCS services and engineering hardware.
Strong leadership and mentoring of automation teams.
Proven customer-facing skills with major industrial clients.
Fluent English in written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

Execute complex automation service activities including installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, retrofits, repairs, and end-of-life support, remotely and on-site.
Deliver excellent customer support by building strong client relationships and promoting ABB’s service portfolio.
Lead technical problem-solving with root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
Prepare and support engineering proposals, project estimates, risk assessments, and service documentation.
Coordinate service resources, materials, parts, and equipment with safety and compliance.
