Overview

We are looking to hire a Saudi National as a JMP Coordinator for our location in Dammam, KSA.

To implement effective planning of Journeys and ensuring compliance through active monitoring throughout journey in Road Transport Operations in respective country to ensure the security of people, cargoes, and assets.

To ensure to follow Policies, procedures and guidelines, Efficiency of work and to ensure accurate and timely delivery of our support. Ensure compliance of local standards, legal requirements, HSEQ as per corporate policies, management procedures, legislative requirements, and industry best practices. Maintenance of effective Journey Management System covering activities within the company. Ensure that superior quality operations are maintained to ensure maximum conformance to legal and customer requirements. Promote safety awareness throughout the company by conducting various Journey Management initiatives viz. Consultations with drivers, pre-trip briefings, managing and spotting of road hazards, cascading the observed hazards to drivers before the trip, preventing all types of un-authorized stops, best practice sharing, etc.

Responsibilities
  1. Journey Management Plan (JMP) – Assure and Ensure the JMP requirement as per legal and customer requirement criteria and initiate the issuance of JMP. Plan the trip, open, and issue the JMP, File & Update the JMP and close the JMP after completing the trips.
  2. Understand and comply with all Legal requirements in regards with Journey Management System.
  3. Ensure all staffs under the Journey Management System are in the compliance to the Tristar group policies and procedures.
  4. Managing of drivers working and driving roasters on daily basis.
  5. Pre-trip:
    • Ensure and Assess driver fatigue before using checklist and assures that drivers are free from fatigue before proceeding to the trip.
    • Checking the working condition of IVMS, OBCs and Fatigue Devices whichever installed, before issuing the JMP.
    • Checking and ensuring that drivers and associated helpers on vehicles carry stop work card.
    • Ensure that drivers complete their mandatory pre-trip vehicle inspection using pink card.
    • Giving pre-trip briefing to the drivers:
    • Briefing RT – 5S Golden Rules.
    • Briefing JMP – Driving & Working Hours, Rest Hours, Rest Points and Overnight Parking.
    • Briefing Route Hazard Mapping and Temporary Hazards with register, of identified in that route.
  6. During Trip:
    • Monitors the IVMS, OBCs and Fatigue Devices routinely.
    • Monitoring the vehicle movement and positioning for any unauthorized parking or stoppage or idling.
    • Report to Journey Manager and Concern Supervisor if any deviation noticed and alert driver.
    • Intervene the fatigue cases if noticed and report to Journey Manager.
    • Intervene on all the unsafe act of driving behaviours.
    • Carryout Fatigue Risk Assessment wherever required.
    • Validate and assess the genuineness of all reported fatigue, yawning, eye closing and distraction cases and report to Journey Manager if genuine and act accordingly.
  7. Post-trip:
    • Verify and validate the date and timing mentioned by driver in JMP against the IVMS data.
    • Review the IVMS for any working, driving and rest hour violations, any journey violations like OS, HB, HA, HC, etc., and unauthorized stoppages or parking or idling.
    • Conduct counselling / initiate remedial training and apply consequence management for any violations recorded.
    • Engage in post-trip briefing with drivers:
      • Discuss the facts and findings of the trip.
      • Discuss with driver for journey positives and negatives.
      • Discuss with any NMPI or Temporary Hazard in the route.
  8. Events & Violations Trend – Maintains the list of events and violations and develops the trend analysis and report to Journey Manager for initiating remedial training.
  9. Audits & Corrective Actions – Support HSE officer for the internal and external audits and closing the corrective actions / actions items as per the agreed timeline.
