Jet Engine Maintenance Inspector (Quality Control)

Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Verification Inspections (QVI) on assigned jet engines and related equipment.
- Provide on-the-spot advice, assistance/training and recommend corrective actions on technical problems of repair and maintenance of GE-129 engines.
- Investigate accidents/incidents and provide comprehensive reports on root causes, contributing factors, corrective actions and recommendations.
- Review/write locally developed Publications, Policy Procedures and Maintenance Operating Instructions (MOIs).
- Research and process Publication Deficiency Improvements.
- Perform Quality Deficiency Investigation and Analysis and provide solutions.
- Review and process Material Deficiency Reports.
- Conduct Special One-Time-Inspections (OTI) and Investigations.
- Perform First-Time compliance QVJ on all Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs).
- Brief and Debrief Maintenance Functional Check Flights.
Requirements
- Requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in AFSC 252X0 of which two (2) years must be at the seven (7) level.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Quality Control and be totally familiar with technical, management and quality assurance procedures.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience on GE engines.
- Qualification as a jet engine mechanic is mandatory with GE-129 experience preferred.
- Be fully knowledgeable of planning, scheduling, and controlling resources.
- Be proficient in the Maintenance Publications Management System and improvement process and be familiar with Time Compliance Technical Orders.
- Have firsthand experience in using publications and computerized records management, collection, and information systems.
- Have a working knowledge and understanding of the Maintenance Data Collection System.
- Experience in directing functions such as inspection, repair, testing or modifications of aircraft engines is mandatory.
- Must be proficient in communications skills necessary to write reports and conduct on the job training.
