Job summary

ASMO, a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Saudi Aramco, seeks an IT Strategy Analyst to help develop and implement strategic IT initiatives, aligning them with the IT Strategy & Innovation Lead and governance objectives.

You will maintain a technology roadmap, perform cost-benefit analyses, and assess the impact of new technologies on ASMO’s operations and competitiveness, collaborating across departments to maximize value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information technology or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
  • Master's degree in business administration, computer science, information technology or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • 5 years’ experience in the same Field.

Responsibilities

  • The IT Strategy Analyst focuses on contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to information technology within ASMO, under the direction of the IT Strategy & Innovation Lead.
  • Collaborate with the IT Strategy & Innovation Manager to contribute to the development and execution of ASMO’s IT strategy.
  • Help align IT initiatives with the IT Strategy & Governance department’s overall strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintain a technology roadmap that outlines ASMO’s future technology direction under the guidance of the IT Strategy & Innovation Lead.
  • Help identify emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct research, perform cost-benefit analyses, and assess the feasibility and impact of new technologies on ASMO’s business operations and competitiveness.

Job description

ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Saudi Aramco. Inheriting DHL’s logistics excellence and Saudi Aramco’s extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective

The IT Strategy Analyst focuses on contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to information technology within ASMO, under the direction of the IT Strategy & Innovation Lead. Their role is to align IT strategies with the IT Strategy & Governance department’s objectives. This position will help check that technology investments and initiatives drive value within the department and ASMO overall.

General Responsibilities
  • The role holder will have knowledge of the rules, procedures and in some cases, the principles and practices within the IT Strategy discipline. They will be tasked with selectively extracting, verifying, and compiling objective and measurable data. In some instances, they may determine the course of action based on established principles and modify existing processes and methods.
  • Collaborate with the IT Strategy & Innovation Manager to contribute to the development and execution of ASMO’s IT strategy.
  • Help align IT initiatives with the IT Strategy & Governance department’s overall strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintain a technology roadmap that outlines ASMO’s future technology direction under the guidance of the IT Strategy & Innovation Lead.
  • Help identify emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
