Job summary

NextEra seeks an experienced IoT & Smart City Consultant to lead customer engagements for Smart City initiatives. You will collaborate with government entities, city authorities, utilities, transportation agencies, and enterprises to drive digital transformation through IoT-enabled solutions.

The role requires strong expertise in IoT technologies, Smart City platforms, solution consulting, stakeholder management, and pre-sales support, based in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, electronics, telecommunications, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• IoT, Cloud, Smart City, or Enterprise Architecture certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Smart City opportunities and engagements.
• Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution presentations.
• Translate city modernization initiatives into technology solutions.
• Define solution architectures involving sensors, gateways, connectivity, cloud platforms, analytics and visualization layers.
• Develop use cases and business cases for Smart City initiatives.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, and proposal development.
• Coordinate with engineering, development, and implementation teams.

The role requires strong expertise in IoT technologies, Smart City platforms, solution consulting, stakeholder management, and pre-sales support.

Key Responsibilities

Smart City Consulting & Customer Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Smart City opportunities and engagements.
• Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution presentations with customers.
• Understand city modernization initiatives and translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with government and enterprise stakeholders.
• Design end-to-end Smart City and IoT solutions.
• Define solution architectures involving sensors, gateways, connectivity, cloud platforms, analytics, and visualization layers.
• Develop use cases and business cases for Smart City initiatives.
• Ensure scalability, security, and interoperability across solutions.

Smart City Domain Expertise

Lead and support solutions across:

• Smart Governance
• Smart Mobility & Traffic Management

Business Development & Pre-Sales

• Support RFPs, RFIs, and proposal development.

Program Delivery Support

• Provide technical leadership during project execution.
• Coordinate with engineering, development, and implementation teams.

• Ensure delivery aligns with customer requirements and business outcomes.

Thought Leadership

• Stay current with Smart City trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
• Represent the organization in industry events, conferences, and customer forums.
• Publish Smart City and IoT thought leadership content.
