Job summary

Egis is seeking an Investment and Business Development Director to lead identifying and capitalizing on investment opportunities for sustainable urban development. You will spearhead funding initiatives, partnerships, and project finance strategies, leveraging extensive investment experience within the engineering sector.

You will drive due diligence, structuring, and negotiations while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• 15+ years in investment management, financial analysis, or corporate finance, with focus on infrastructure or real estate investments.
• Strong understanding of investment principles, financial markets, and project finance structures.
• Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing investment deals in infrastructure or real estate.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in financial modeling; familiarity with investment analysis software a plus.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Arabic (reading/writing).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Investment and Business Development Strategy aligned with project objectives and market dynamics.
• Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify investment opportunities in sustainable urban development.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders to secure funding.
• Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities including financial, legal, and technical assessments.
• Lead deal structuring and negotiations, including equity investments, debt financing, joint ventures, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards; provide updates to stakeholders.
• Provide leadership to the investment development team and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
