Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in investment management, financial analysis, or corporate finance, with focus on infrastructure or real estate investments.
• Proven ability to source, structure and close investment deals in infrastructure/real estate.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Arabic (reading and writing).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive investment development strategy aligned with project objectives.
• Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify investment opportunities in sustainable urban development.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders to secure funding.
• Conduct due diligence on financial, legal, and technical aspects to mitigate risks.
• Lead negotiations and structuring of investment deals including equity, debt, JVs, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the investment development team.

About the Role

As the Investment and Business Development Director, you will spearhead the company's efforts in identifying and capitalizing on investment opportunities for sustainable urban development projects. Drawing upon your extensive experience in investment management and your deep understanding of the engineering industry, you will lead initiatives to attract funding, secure partnerships, and drive the financial success of our projects.

• Investment and Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive Business development strategy aligned withprojectsobjectives and market dynamics.
• Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth market research and feasibility studies to identify potential investment opportunities in sustainable urban development projects.
• Investor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to secure funding and support for project development.
• Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial, legal, and technical assessments, to mitigate risks and ensure investment viability.
• Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations and structuring of investment deals, including equity investments, debt financing, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on investment performance and portfolio management.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the investment development team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in investment management, financial analysis, or corporate finance, with a focus on infrastructure or real estate investments.
• Strong understanding of investment principles, financial markets, and project finance structures.
• Proven track record of successfully sourcing, structuring, and closing investment deals, preferably in the infrastructure or real estate sector.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex investment opportunities and risks.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of identifying and pursuing profitable investment opportunities.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques; familiarity with investment analysis software is a plus.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Arabic - reading and writing.
