Job summary

seeks an Engineering handover specialist to ensure structured, timely handovers from Project Management Team to Facility Management, with focus on readiness, compliance, and quality. You will verify design/spec compliance, monitor testing and commissioning, identify gaps, and support FM in technical evaluation and risk-based decisions, while ensuring safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Experience supporting handover from PMT to FM.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure readiness of buildings for handover and verify compliance with design/specifications.
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities and address gaps before acceptance.
• Support Facility Management in technical evaluation and decision-making.
• Inspect buildings and sites for code compliance, safety, and zoning requirements.
• Provide guidance to contractors and owners on code requirements.
• Create inspection reports and document violations and follow-up actions.

Job description

Job role has to ensure a structured, timely, and high-quality handover of buildings from Project Management Team (PMT) to Facility Management (FMD), including:

• Ensuring readiness of buildings for handover
• Verifying compliance with design and specifications
• Monitoring testing & commissioning activities
• Identifying and closing gaps prior to acceptance
• Supporting FMD in technical evaluation and decision-making
• Inspect new and existing buildings for compliance with building codes and other regulations
• Inspect building sites to ensure they meet safety and zoning requirements
• Make recommendations to improve safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency
• Test electrical wiring, HVAC systems, plumbing, and other systems to ensure they meet code
• Identify and document code violations and provide guidance or recommendations for correction
• Create reports documenting inspections and violations
• Issue notices and citations for violations
• Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure code violations have been corrected
• Provide guidance to contractors and property owners about code requirements
