Job summary

A premier renewable energy firm in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner. The role involves planning and scheduling maintenance activities for instruments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and the effective utilization of resources. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Instrument Engineering and 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in petrochemical or oil & gas sectors. This is a full-time position located in NEOM.

NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is on a mission to make a carbon-free, climate-safe future a reality. We are building the world’s largest plant to produce green ammonia at scale, providing humankind with a cost‑efficient solution that will accelerate the worldwide green hydrogen economy. Located in NEOM and supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, NGHC will be integrating up to 4GW of onshore solar and wind energy to supply up to 650 tons of green ammonia per day for transportation globally. Operations will go onstream in 2026. NGHC brings together the technology, operational efficiency and know‑how of ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM in a joint‑venture partnership with over 80 years of combined experience in the fields of hydrogen, energy, renewables and global networks.

JOB DETAILS:

Division: NGHC Operations.

LIAISE/COOPERATE WITH: Air Products, External EPCs, Suppliers, NGHC Operation Directors, Operations and Maintenance Staff.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be part of NGHC (Neom Green Hydrogen Company) Maintenance group.

Will be based in Neom Region. Plan and schedule maintenance activities, coordinating with operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure timely execution. Timely and accurately reporting Maintenance KPIs. Allocate sufficient resources, including labour, materials, and tools, to maximize maintenance efficiency and manpower utilization.

NATURE & SCOPE:

The main functions of this position are:

  • Planning and Scheduling all Instrument Maintenance Jobs
  • Support in preparation and reporting of maintenance KPIs.
  • Effectively reporting of schedule Compliance, KPI parameters etc.
  • Report status of external jobs.
  • Single point of contact for contractors for external jobs.
  • Comply with NGHC Safety Standards.
  • Comply with NGHC contractors’ management system.
  • Manpower optimization and utilization.
  • Lead daily Operation and Maintenance coordination meeting.
  • Lead contractors Kick‑Off meetings.
  • Interface with NGHC-MM and list out priorities, provide clear visibility on Hold for material orders.
  • Support on‑call emergencies.
  • Ensure inventory control and balance for all instrument spare parts.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop detailed maintenance schedules using software like SAP S/4Hana, MS Project, or other planning tools.
  • Domain expertise in SAP PM/maintenance modules; strong command of relevant SAP transactions and configuration.
  • Define work breakdown structures (WBS) and sequence activities efficiently.
  • Establish and maintain baseline schedules.
  • Identify and allocate manpower, equipment, tooling, spares and materials as per project needs.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of instrument resources to enhance productivity.
  • On‑call support during plant emergencies, to plan any emergency maintenance activity.
  • Track and monitor the progress of electrical works against the schedule.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports for NGHC management.
  • Identify delays, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between different electrical activities and other disciplines.
  • Identify potential project risks (delays, resource shortages, design changes) and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Revise schedules as needed to accommodate unforeseen changes.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to Job timelines aligned with predetermined schedule.
  • Support in TA/SD job package preparation.
  • Act as Point of contact for external contractors.
  • Ability to act as SAP power user and Master Data specialist will be added advantage.
  • To prepare report based on KPIS.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

Act as single point of contact with contractors and external service providers.

SKILLS / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
  • Demonstrated safe work skills
  • Experience: 7–10 years in Routine maintenance planning, Scheduling within petrochemical, or fertilizer and oil & gas.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various disciplines, Engineers, Plant managers to effectively schedule the activities.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks as scheduled is required
  • Experience of mentoring / coaching less experienced, Planners and Electrical technicians
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP S4Hana, and ERP systems
  • Strong understanding of Instrument systems, control valves, analysers, Transmitters, vibration sensors, RTD, gauge, switches, flowmeters, electro‑pneumatic positions for control valves, actuators, conductive limit detectors, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Single point for contact with external contactors.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • B.S. in Instrument Engineering or equivalent.
MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR JOB ROLE:
  • 7 - 12 years of relevant experience.
