Job summary

ACWA Operations in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Instrumentation Supervisor to oversee preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance of instrumentation and control systems at RO desalination and CCGT plants.

You will lead a team of technicians, ensure calibration, loop checks, and safe implementation of permit-to-work, with strong knowledge of PIDs and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrument Engineering is required.
• Degree in Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of instrumentation & control maintenance experience.
• Experience as an Instrumentation Supervisor in RO desalination or CCGT plants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
• Oversee calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of pressure, flow, level and pH instruments and actuators.
• Coordinate instrumentation maintenance across RO desalination systems or CCGT turbines and HRSGs.
• Lead technicians in troubleshooting, loop checks and functional testing during outages and overhauls.
• Ensure permit-to-work compliance, isolation procedures, and safe return-to-service.

Job Summary

ACWA Operations is seeking experienced Instrumentation Supervisors for upcoming opportunities across RO desalination and CCGT power plants in Saudi Arabia The role is responsible for supervising preventive, corrective and condition-based instrumentation maintenance activities ensuring reliable plant instrumentation accurate process measurements safe work execution and effective deployment of maintenance personnel during routine operations planned outages and overhauls

Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance of instrumentation and control systems Oversee inspection calibration troubleshooting and maintenance of pressure flow level conductivity and pH instruments analysers actuators and control valves Coordinate instrumentation maintenance across RO desalination systems or CCGT turbines HRSGs steam-water systems and balance-of-plant equipment Lead instrumentation technicians in troubleshooting calibration loop checks functional testing planned outages and equipment overhauls Supervise approved interlock testing and ensure control logic or setpoint changes follow established authorization and change-control procedures Ensure proper implementation of equipment isolation permit-to-work requirements and safe return-to-service procedures Manage maintenance work orders through CMMS SAP review P & IDs loop and logic diagrams and coordinate spare parts tools and maintenance resources Provide technical guidance on-the-job training and performance supervision while ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards

Job Specifications

Minimum Education Diploma in Instrument Engineering Degree in Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering is preferred Minimum Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control maintenance, including installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems within a plant environment. Extensive experience as an Instrumentation Supervisor in RO desalination or CCGT power plants is preferred

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance Experience with field instruments, transmitters, analysers, actuators, control valves, and associated control systems Ability to interpret PIDs, loop diagrams, logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings Knowledge of preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance, loop checks, and functional testing Understanding of permit-to-work systems, equipment isolation hazard assessments, and HSE requirements Strong leadership, technician supervision, problem-solving, planning, communication, and organizational skills

Work Conditions

Plant-based position in Saudi Arabia. Availability to support planned outages, equipment overhauls, and emergency maintenance activities.
