Job summary

ACWA Power is seeking experienced Mechanical Supervisors for upcoming opportunities at RO desalination and CCGT power plants in Saudi Arabia. The role oversees preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safe work execution.

You will lead mechanical technicians, review drawings and OEM manuals, coordinate spare parts, tools and resources, and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards during outages and overhauls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a plant environment.
• Extensive experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in RO desalination or CCGT power plants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance of rotating and static mechanical equipment.
• Oversee maintenance of pumps, valves, piping systems, bearings and seals.
• Coordinate mechanical maintenance across RO desalination systems or CCGT turbine auxiliaries.
• Lead technicians in troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, outages and overhauls.
• Ensure equipment isolation permits, safe return-to-service procedures, and HSE compliance.
• Manage work orders through CMMS, SAP, and coordinate parts and tools.
• Provide on-the-job training and supervision with focus on quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive corrective and condition-based maintenance of rotating and static mechanical equipment
• Oversee maintenance of pumps valves piping systems bearings seals and other mechanical equipment
• Coordinate mechanical maintenance activities across RO desalination systems or CCGT turbine auxiliaries cooling-water systems and balance-of-plant equipment
• Lead mechanical technicians in troubleshooting equipment inspections repairs planned outages and overhauls
• Supervise equipment alignment lubrication condition monitoring and mechanical testing to ensure reliable equipment performance
• Ensure proper implementation of equipment isolation permit-to-work requirements and safe return-to-service procedures
• Manage maintenance work orders through CMMS SAP review technical drawings and OEM manuals and coordinate spare parts tools and resources
• Provide technical guidance on-the-job training and performance supervision while ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards

Job Specifications

Minimum Education

• Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance including installation maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment within a plant environment
• Extensive experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in RO desalination or CCGT power plants is preferred

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance troubleshooting and repair of rotating and static equipment
• Experience in preventive corrective and condition-based maintenance equipment inspections and outage management
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings P amp IDs assembly drawings and OEM manuals
• Knowledge of equipment alignment lubrication bearings seals and condition monitoring
• Understanding of permit-to-work systems equipment isolation hazard assessments and HSE requirements
• Strong leadership technician supervision problem-solving planning communication and organizational skills
