Job summary

ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Aramco, set to operate in 2025, delivering end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services across industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia. We seek an HSE Officer to lead safety initiatives, risk management, and environmental stewardship within the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, fluent English, and at least 5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Master's degree in environmental science preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
• 5 years' experience in a similar or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the HSE team to implement safety initiatives and programs across the organization, ensuring alignment with HSE strategy and objectives.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant safety laws, regulations, and industry standards; actively manage and mitigate safety-related risks.
• Assist in developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, contributing to safeguarding employees, assets, and the environment.

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective:

TheHSEOfficerplaysapivotalroleinensuringtheeffectiveimplementationofsafetymeasuresandfosteringa cultureofsafety,securityandenvironmentalresponsibilitywithinASMO.

GeneralResponsibilities:

• CollaboratecloselywiththeHSEteamtoimplementsafetyinitiativesandprogramsacrosstheorganization,ensuringalignmentwithHSEstrategyandobjectives.
• Monitorandensurecompliancewithrelevantsafetylaws,regulations,andindustrystandards,actively managingandmitigatingsafety-relatedrisks.
• Assistinthedevelopmentandimplementationofsafetypolicies,procedures,andguidelines,contributing totheoverallsafeguardingofemployees,assets, andtheenvironment.
• ContributetotheestablishmentandmaintenanceofarobustSafetyManagementSystem,encompassing riskassessments,incidentreporting,investigations, andcorrectiveactions.
• SupporttheHeadofHSEinoverseeingASMO'sresponsetoincidents,emergencies,andaccidents, ensuringtimelyandeffectivemitigationmeasures.
• Contributetosustainabilityinitiatives,minimizingASMO'senvironmentalfootprint,promotingeco-friendlypractices,andsupportingenvironmentalresponsibilitycommitments.
• Assistinthedevelopmentandmaintenanceofsecurityprotocolsandcrisismanagementplanstoprotect personnel,assets,andoperations.
• CollaborateonthedevelopmentanddeliveryofcomprehensiveHSEtrainingprograms,equipping employeeswiththenecessaryknowledgeandskillsforasafe,secure,andenvironmentallyresponsibleworkplace.
• ContributetothetrackingandreportingofkeyHSEperformanceindicatorsandmetrics,identifyingareas forimprovement.
• Engagewithinternalandexternalstakeholders,includingregulatoryagencies,toensuretransparent communicationandcollaborationonsafety,security, andenvironmentalmatters.
