Job summary

AccorHotel in Saudi Arabia is seeking a General Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. You will maintain accurate general ledger, record daily transactions, and support month-end closing in a hospitality setting.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in accounting, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a meticulous, organized approach to financial reporting. This role offers exposure to luxury hotel operations and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in luxury/hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
• Record and verify daily financial transactions and journal entries.
• Perform monthly bank balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions when required.
• Monitor and reconcile intercompany accounts and internal transfers.
• Ensure proper recording and allocation of hotel revenues expenses and other financial transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
• Support the preparation of accruals prepayments provisions and adjusting entries.
• Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies accounting standards and internal controls.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required schedules and supporting documents.
• Work closely with other Finance team members and hotel departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist the Financial Controller and Chief Accountant with ad hoc financial and accounting tasks.
