Job summary

ACCOR in Saudi Arabia is seeking a General Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end closing in accordance with hotel policies and standards.

You will work closely with hotel departments and external auditors, prepare schedules, review AP/AR, and ensure proper recording of revenues and expenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience in hotel sector.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepayments.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in luxury or international hotel is advantageous.
• Professional accounting certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts.
• Record daily financial transactions and journal entries.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank balances and general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare schedules for balance sheet accounts.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions when required.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and internal transfers.
• Ensure proper recording of revenues and expenses.
• Prepare monthly and management reports.
• Assist audits with schedules and documents.
• Work with hotel departments to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain documentation and filing of accounting records.
