Job summary

Hill International in the Middle East is seeking a Talent Pool Design Manager to lead design delivery for hospitality projects (hotels, stadiums, museums, hospitals) across the region, ensuring alignment with client vision, technical standards, and project requirements.

You will manage multidisciplinary design teams, coordinate development, and oversee reviews, approvals, and integration with construction and procurement to deliver coordinated, compliant, and buildable design solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years’ experience with architectural design, production techniques, codes, standards, building materials and construction methods.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles, practices, methods and systems; familiarity with construction field and design standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of engineering procedures, design guidelines, business automation applications, and administrative aspects.
• Familiarity with CAD in 2D/3D design environments.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, reports and specifications at each design stage for completeness and compliance.
• Carry out constructability reviews during design and modification stages.
• Review design consultant submittals promptly and provide comments to the Construction Manager.
• Ensure comments from previous stages are incorporated by consultants.
• Attend technical meetings with design consultants, sub-consultants, contractors and client teams.
• Review proposed design organizations and CVs; report findings to Construction Manager.
• Coordinate with PM's Document Controller and QA/QC to ensure discipline documents are controlled.
• Evaluate design concept alternatives and report advantages/disadvantages.
