BAE Systems in Saudi Arabia seeks a Head of Typhoon Technical Support Service (TTSS) to lead governance and assurance of CAMSS and airworthiness outputs. You will ensure processes meet CAME mandates, customer requirements and maintain TTSS records for auditability.

AE Systems is the UK Government s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment support and training to Saudi Arabia We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force RSAF aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft equipment and weapons BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships The Head of Typhoon Technical Support Service is responsible for the leadership management and governance of the TTSS organisation in the delivery of delegated Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Services CAMSS Technical Support Reliability Airworthiness Review Coordinated Design Services interface and associated support activity within the Salam Typhoon operating environment The role is a Nominated Post Holder Form 4 holder and is responsible for ensuring that suitable processes procedures controls and assurance arrangements are established and maintained so that technical data continuing airworthiness advice recommendations and support outputs provided to the Customer are accurate controlled traceable and compliant with applicable CAME M amp CA Mandate contractual and Customer requirements The Head of TTSS provides senior leadership for TTSS personnel and is responsible for ensuring that TTSS has the required organisational capability competence resilience and governance arrangements to deliver its contracted and mandated support responsibilities TTSS provides continuing airworthiness management support technical advice analysis and recommendations Approval acceptance or authorisation of recommendations remains with the Customer M amp CA Design Organisation approved maintenance organisation or other authorised body as applicable
As the Head of TTSS the role holder is responsible for the effective leadership governance and assurance of TTSS activity including but not limited to the following Ensure compliance with applicable CAME requirements M amp CA Mandates Maintenance Mandates Engineering Governance requirements contractual requirements and Customer continuing airworthiness arrangements Establish maintain and continually improve TTSS processes procedures and local controls required to deliver the delegated TTSS CAMSS and technical support scope Own control and periodically review TTSS CAME content applicable to TTSS activities ensuring changes are assessed coordinated and implemented through appropriate governance routes Manage the TTSS local governance framework including the TTSS Manual controlled processes and procedures Terms of Reference competence arrangements delegated authorities signatory controls and associated records Provide technical advice analysis and recommendations to support Customer continuing airworthiness activity including In-Service Data Analysis ISDA Arising Rate Management ARM Maintenance Policy MPOL and Maintenance Programme Optimisation MPO Provide advice and support to the Customer on Aircraft Maintenance Programme matters including reliability evidence operational feedback technical findings airworthiness considerations and proposed amendments Manage and coordinate TTSS inputs to maintenance programme recommendations reliability programme activity and monitoring of maintenance programme effectiveness Establish and maintain the Typhoon Airworthiness Review Certificate service ensuring airworthiness reviews are planned controlled recorded and delivered to the Customer for approval in accordance with the applicable CAME process Manage and coordinate TTSS support to modifications repairs Technical Instructions Service Instructions Airworthiness Directives Time Compliance Technical Orders and other mandatory or Customer-directed requirements with a continuing airworthiness impact Liaise with the appropriate Design Organisation Coordinated Design Services function and technical stakeholders to support approved modification repair and capability insertion activity Review modification repair and capability insertion activity to support assessment of configuration fleet planning maintenance programme impact record integrity and continuing airworthiness effect Monitor modification and capability insertion embodiment rates including assessment of impact on Salam operations and generation of planning recommendations where required Provide strategic and tactical fleet planning advice including analysis of fleet data technical data and reliability outputs to identify opportunities to improve planning maintenance tasking aircraft availability and support effectiveness Ensure known defects technical findings repeat issues and significant fleet trends identified through TTSS activity are assessed for continuing airworthiness safety reliability fleet maintenance programme or operational impact Coordinate TTSS interfaces with Line and Base Maintenance including support to scheduled maintenance mandatory requirement application life-limited part replacement time-controlled component activity and component inspection requirements where within TTSS scope Manage control and archive continuing airworthiness records generated or managed within TTSS scope ensuring records are complete accurate traceable retained in the approved repository and available for audit assurance or investigation Ensure mass and balance status is reviewed and supported where this activity falls within the TTSS delegated support scope Coordinate TTSS support to PIRM and PORM activity for upgrades modifications waiver removal STO and SMU-related aircraft activity where required Report elevate and support investigation of occurrences findings non- compliances or technical issues of a continuing airworthiness nature through the applicable Customer M amp CA Safety Management System Quality Management System and internal governance routes Manage TTSS interfaces with the Customer M amp CA Salam Operations Maintenance Design Organisation Coordinated Design Services BTSC Supply Chain IKIP Reliability Airworthiness Review Line Technical Support Engineering Logistics Portal and other relevant stakeholders Essential HND or Degree in a relevant technical discipline, acceptable to M&CA. Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA. Have extensive post qualification practical maintenance/CA experience supported by formal record, including experience within relevant CA environment. Experience in a relevant management role. Fluent in English. Desirable Chartered Engineer with an appropriate professional institute such as Saudi Council of Engineers, Royal Aeronautical Society or Institute of Engineering & Technology. Typhoon aircraft experience, including relevant type or equipment-specific training, such as Typhoon Q Course or equivalent Typhoon platform familiarisation. Experience operating in a senior military aviation support, continuing airworthiness, technical support, reliability, maintenance programme or Customer- facing governance role.
