Job summary

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Data Privacy and Protection Manager to oversee the implementation of privacy strategy, monitor laws, and direct development of data policies.

You will lead planning, budgeting, and governance, supervise a team, and partner with top management to safeguard personal data and ensure regulatory compliance across ZATCA systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, CS or equivalent is required.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, CS or equivalent is preferred.
• 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong IT compliance and data protection knowledge.
• Ability to develop and implement data protection policies and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data privacy and protection planning aligned with strategy.
• Guide development of data protection policies, standards and procedures.
• Monitor implementation, review reports and ensure compliance.
• Promote awareness of data privacy across stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the Data Protection and Privacy team.
• Collaborate with senior management on budgeting and resource planning.
• Review and approve data protection plans to improve safeguards.
