Job summary

BRKZ, a fast-growing construction-tech startup in Saudi Arabia, seeks a hands-on Financial Controller to own all accounting and reporting, build robust controls, and scale the finance team as the company grows. You will lead month-end close, manage external audits, and ensure tax and regulatory compliance while partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial discipline.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 10+ years of experience as Financial Controller.
• Professional certification such as SOCPA/CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi accounting, tax, zakat, VAT and compliance.
• Experience owning accounting, audit, and reporting end to end.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, accruals, reconciliations, payroll, and monthly close.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing with timely, accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and reporting packs.
• Own external audit process end to end with schedules and auditor coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi tax, zakat, VAT, withholding tax, e-invoicing, and standards.
• Strengthen internal controls across finance, procurement, payments, and revenue recognition.
• Build scalable finance processes, policies, and reporting structures.
• Collaborate with business, operations, credit, procurement, and commercial teams.
• Monitor working capital, receivables/payables, and cash reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; fix gaps in systems and processes.
• Develop and manage the accounting and finance operations team.
• Support ERP and finance automation initiatives.
