Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a Purple Teaming Engineer with hands-on offensive and defensive security experience focused on embedded systems. You will operationalize threat emulation, automate adversary TTPs, and enhance detection with Red and SOC teams while supporting logging improvements across ECUs and devices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, assessment of SOC effectiveness, and mentorship for junior staff, in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or IT with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Red Teaming, SOC, or embedded security testing is required.
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and threat simulation tools.
• Experience with embedded Linux, Android, RTOS or MCU platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python and log analysis for detection.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize Purple Team and Attack Simulation across embedded and cloud-connected systems.
• Develop and execute adversary simulation plans aligned with threat intel.
• Collaborate with Red and Blue teams to identify detection gaps and improve SOC effectiveness.
• Identify log sources across assets and ECUs; document log type, location, and format for anomaly detection.
• Review log availability and integrity; coordinate with asset owners to secure logging practices.
• Draft and present technical reports on Purple Team activities to stakeholders.
• Mentor juniors on simulation workflows and embedded systems.
