Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a Purple Teaming Engineer with hands-on experience in offensive and defensive security, focusing on embedded systems. You will execute threat emulation, automate adversary TTPs, and enhance detection with Red and SOC teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, SOC operations, and experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, and MCU platforms, plus scripting in Python and log analysis in SIEMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field and 5+ years of professional experience.
• 3–6 years combined experience in Red Teaming, SOC, detection engineering, or embedded security testing.
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat simulation tools, and detection principles.
• Experience with embedded Linux, Android, RTOS, or MCU platforms.
• Familiarity with SIEM systems and log analysis.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize Purple Team and Attack Simulation exercises across embedded and cloud-connected systems.
• Develop and execute adversary simulation plans aligned with threat intelligence.
• Collaborate with Red and Blue teams to identify detection gaps and improve SOC effectiveness.
• Identify relevant log sources across assets and documentation of log requirements.
• Review availability, completeness and integrity of logs; address gaps with owners.
• Share recommendations on logging improvements, event visibility and secure logging practices.
• Support offensive testing across RTOS, Linux, Android, and MCU-based systems.
• Draft and present technical reports and summaries to stakeholders.
• Communicate findings, weaknesses, and remediation strategies.
