Job summary

pladis Global in Jeddah seeks a Regulatory Leader to define and deploy regulatory strategy, govern compliance, and enable cross-functional business success. The role oversees regulatory teams, engages external authorities, and ensures market entry alignment with GCC and Egypt rules. Strong leadership, communication, and external influence are essential.

You will collaborate across R&D, Quality, Legal, and Commercial to balance regulatory risk with growth in a multinational FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related scientific discipline.
• 8+ years of regulatory affairs experience in food, confectionery, FMCG, or related sectors, preferably with a multinational food manufacturer.
• Strong knowledge of GCC and Egypt food regulations, Codex principles, claims regulations, ingredient standards, and policy processes.
• Proven leadership in compliance systems and reporting.
• Strong external influencing experience.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Regulatory Leadership & Market Enablement by defining and deploying regulatory strategy and develop high-performing teams.
• Oversee Compliance Governance & Reporting with structured KPI dashboards and risk metrics.
• Drive External Engagement & Influence through trade associations, regulatory forums and industry advocacy.
• Ensure Cross-functional Integration by aligning with global/regional teams and enabling compliant market entry.
