Job summary

Bechtel seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Field Engineer for our Dhalm site in Saudi Arabia. You will lead construction engineering tasks within electrical and instrumentation, develop work plans, coordinate material take-offs, perform inspections, ensure safety and quality, and document progress through turnover to Startup/Commissioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical and instrumentation engineering from an accredited university.
20 years of progressive construction or electrical engineering experience; or 25 years in the MENA region in lieu of a degree.
Strong English language communication and report writing skills.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and manage relationships.
Self-driven with the ability to plan and execute work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

Coordinate constructability and design issues with engineering for commodity installations and sequencing.
Provide field engineering support to superintendents and verify materials, equipment and quality.
Develop work plans, coordinate material take-offs, perform inspections and document progress.
Ensure procedural compliance and complete documentation of inspections.
Prepare quantity listings of field material and initiate field purchases.
Support preparation of construction drawings and schedules, including temporary facilities.
Plan and deliver construction materials and storage with environmental protection in mind.
Review specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, and data to advise on site.
