Job summary

Dar Al Riyadh Group seeks a Technical Design Department Manager to lead the Design Office across Riyadh, Khobar, Egypt, and the Philippines, ensuring coordination between engineering disciplines and the timely delivery of high-quality design projects.

You will oversee resource planning, design governance, multidisciplinary coordination, and QA/QC processes while working closely with Discipline Heads to drive performance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture required; Master’s preferred.
• 20+ years in multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy.
• Minimum 8–10 years in a leadership role managing large Design Offices.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines and international teams.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the Design Office across all regional offices.
• Coordinate and integrate the work of all Discipline Heads (Architecture, Structural, Civil, MEP, Infrastructure, BIM, etc.).
• Ensure timely delivery of design projects in line with quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Monitor resource utilization and optimize workload distribution across offices.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, design procedures, and QA/QC processes.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement, digital engineering, and BIM initiatives.
• Prepare management reports, resource forecasts, and performance dashboards for senior leadership.
