Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Senior Superintendent to lead a project team on the Ar Rjum gold project. You will direct craft activities, manage a large workforce, and ensure work complies with technical specs, schedules, and budgets.

You will collaborate with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Subcontractors, interpreting engineering documents and coordinating solutions to keep the project on track. Relocation possible internationally.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and 13–15 years of relevant experience.
• Or 17–19 years of relevant work experience in mining, LNG, petrochemical or infrastructure EPC/EPCM.

Project Overview

The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.

The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.

Job Summary

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise Electrical and Instrumentation superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.

Major Responsibilities

• Leadership / Supervision (Supervision of discipline and lead superintendents with 100+ craft)
• Proactively engages with their team’s development through CPM, Competency development/assessment and feedback
• Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned.
• Planning / Productivity Determines workforce requirements.
• Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
• Tools, Materials & Equipment Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
• Prepares Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
• Safety & Quality Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications
• Responsible for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
• Monitors work activities and ensures the quality of work performed.
• Technical Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
• Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.

Education And Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Electrical professional with 20+ years (10+ years in GCC region) of leadership experience across mega projects in the mining, LNG, petrochemical, and infrastructure sectors, delivering complex EPC/EPCM developments from early constructability through commissioning and system completion.
• Extensive expertise in constructability, engineering, modularization strategies, and large-scale field execution, including the installation and integration of structural steel, API storage tanks, LNG tanks, mechanical equipment, process piping systems, and hydrostatic/pneumatic testing programs.
• Proven capability in field engineering leadership, site supervision, workface planning, and system completion, ensuring disciplined execution aligned with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
