Job summary

alfanar is seeking a focused accounting professional to support daily operations, record recoveries, and process journal entries. The role includes handling GL entries from divisions and performing daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance or a related field and will coordinate with various departments to maintain timely reconciliations and compliance with company policies.

• Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance or a relevant field.
• Experience with recording recoveries and journal entries is preferable.
• Familiarity with daily accounting processes and reconciliations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations by recording recoveries and processing journal entries.
• Post journal entries and assist with GL entries from divisions.
• Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Handle visa-related entries and settlements and coordinate with other divisions.
• Ensure compliance with policies and timely reporting of deviations.

Recovery Support:

• Help process and record recoveries for:
• IT-related costs
• Request for Proposals (RFCs)
• Accrued Bonuses
• Central Treasury recoveries
• Restaurant-related expenses
• 10% Recovery allocations

Business Operations Tasks:

• Support daily accounting and operations by preparing and entering records for:
• Posting journal entries and helping with:
• GL entries from divisions
• Exit Re-entry Settlements
• Iqama & Dependent Settlements
• Sponsorship Settlements
• Profession Change/Engineering Association fees
• Helping with visa-related entries and reconciling:
• Visa Reconciliations
• Assisting in daily and monthly reconciliations:
• Daily transaction checks
• Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Bank deposit confirmations (Ceramic – HO)
• Coordination with other divisions for account matching

Role Accountability

• Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Delivery:

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

• Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

• Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance or Any relevant field
