Job summary

EPAM Systems in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead GenAI initiatives for downstream oil & gas and refinery operations on-site. You will own discovery, design, delivery and scaling of AI-powered solutions with stakeholders and engineering teams.

This role focuses on delivering measurable business impact while ensuring reliability, security and governance of complex industrial systems, including SAP, PI, and LIMS integrations.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of overall experience with 5–6 years in technical product management or related leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of Downstream Oil & Gas processes and refinery operations.
• Hands-on experience delivering GenAI/AI products in complex enterprise settings.
• Expertise in stakeholder management, roadmap planning and business process mapping.
• Experience integrating enterprise data systems such as SAP, PI and maintenance platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity and data governance teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; fluent English (B2+).
• Academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field; SAP/SCE credentials beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, roadmap and strategy for GenAI products supporting refinery workflows and downstream operations.
• Conduct on-site discovery, operational assessments and user research with refinery teams.
• Translate refinery requirements into scalable enterprise product capabilities.
• Lead end-to-end GenAI delivery from proof-of-concept to production deployment.
• Define requirements for AI copilots, decision-support tools and knowledge assistants.
• Establish governance, monitoring for AI systems focusing on reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define integration points for SAP, PI System, and LIMS.
• Ensure security, data governance and enterprise architecture compliance.
• Engage senior stakeholders, prepare decision papers and manage product demos and updates.
• Oversee backlogs, release plans, risks, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
