How You’ll Make An Impact
- Perform Assembly, repair and routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional & resistance measurements) of GIS bays (including components & modules) according to the prepared work instructions, drawings, materials, checklists, guidelines and customer order data.
- Fulfill orders related work packages according to production data and instructions
- Self-check of work packages’ results, filling out and confirm on assigned checklists and protocols.
- Target the best performance in terms of quality, cost and delivery time.
- Adequate handling of factory equipment and tools, maintain equipment’s and sustain proper continuous calibration.
- Quality control and immediate escalation of Quality issues. Record deviation, support root cause of failure and write quality problem / non-conformance reports.
- Support of gathering product improvement comment/feedback from the GIS LSC (local Service Center) engineers.
- Actively support teamwork, effectively communicate and collaborate with internal customer/stakeholder/ colleague (assembly, testing, logistics...etc).
- Independently follow the factory rules & guidelines related to safety, quality, environment, recycling and housekeeping.
- Maintain safe working environment by following ABB-HSE guidelines and reporting any irregularities.
- Contribute actively to continue improvement process and Lean culture.
- Providing feedback, sharing ideas and observations whenever possible.

Your background
- 3-year technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in production facility (assembly & testing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Reading and precise understanding of technical drawings and material lists.
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
- Team player.
- Understanding the lean concept & minimizing all 7 related wastes.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic language is required.
