Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Prevention and Protection Engineering or Safety Engineering (from India) with recognized accreditation.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience in fire protection or safety engineering.
• Registration eligibility with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Strong Revit MEP experience for fire protection and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and review fire protection and life safety systems using Revit MEP.
• Prepare fire protection drawings, BIM models, layouts, construction drawings and technical details.
• Coordinate fire protection with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing disciplines.

WAO Engineering Consultancy is seeking to hire a qualified Fire Prevention and Protection Engineer or Safety Engineer from India.

Job Location

• Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Candidate Requirements

• • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Prevention and Protection Engineering or Safety Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi, Kerala, India.
• • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience after graduation in the same specialization.
• • Previous professional experience in Saudi Arabia is strongly preferred.
• • The candidate must be eligible for registration and professional accreditation with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) as a Fire Prevention and Protection Engineer or Safety Engineer.
• • The degree, university, and specialization must be recognized and accepted by the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Mandatory Revit & Design Requirement

• • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP is mandatory.
• • The candidate must have strong practical experience in independently designing fire protection and life safety systems using Autodesk Revit MEP.
• • The candidate must be capable of preparing complete fire protection engineering drawings, BIM models, layouts, design drawings, construction drawings, coordinated drawings, and technical details using Revit MEP.
• • Candidates without strong practical experience in fire protection design and drawing preparation using Autodesk Revit MEP will not be considered.

Technical Experience

• • Practical application of Saudi Building Code (SBC) requirements related to fire protection and life safety
• • Preparation and review of technical calculations, design reports, fire safety reports, and compliance documents
• • Review of:

• • Coordination of fire protection systems with:

Engineering Consultancy & Supervision

• • Strong experience in engineering consultancy services related to fire protection and life safety systems.
• • Ability to review designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documents and provide professional engineering recommendations.
• • Experience in site supervision and inspection of fire protection and life safety works.
• • Ability to verify that site execution complies with:
• * Approved drawings
• * Saudi Building Code
• * NFPA Standards
• * Project specifications
• * Authority requirements
• • Experience in testing, commissioning, inspection, and technical acceptance of fire protection systems.
• • Ability to identify design and construction problems and provide technically sound engineering solutions.
• • Ability to respond to authority comments, consultant comments, and technical observations and close them professionally.

Business Development

• • Ability to develop business opportunities, attract engineering projects, build client relationships, and contribute to securing new engineering consultancy projects in the Saudi market.
• • Good knowledge of the Saudi engineering consultancy market, government and private-sector entities, contractors, developers, and project procedures is preferred.

Language Requirements

• • Arabic language proficiency is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and government and private-sector entities.
• • Good English communication skills.
• • Willingness to relocate and work in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Job Offer

• Contract Duration: 3 years
• • Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• • Salary: SAR 5,000–8,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
