Job summary

Americana Foods - National Food Company seeks a Finance Controller to manage AMF financial operations including AR/AP/GL/Tax/Compliance and support decision-making.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in controlling, with strong leadership and expertise in IFRS/SOCPA. You will lead risk assessment, budgeting, and reporting for the Saudi entity in Jeddah, driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CMA/CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Controlling, ideally in MENAP region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting & compliance with local regulations and IFRS/SOCPA.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory filings.
• Prepare board financial materials and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance with variance analysis.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team; Saudization efforts.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Americana's Frozen Solutions unit is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance controller to managing AMF Financial operations including AR/AP/GL/Tax/Compliance and supporting decision-making.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure financial statements comply with local regulations (e.g., CT, VAT, WHT) and international standards like IFRS or SOCPA.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory filings
• Prepare board meeting financial materials
• Monitor budget performance using variance analysis.
• Prepare and update cash flow forecasts and working capital requirement

External Liaising

• Liaise with external vendors e.g. Insurance, suppliers finance teams, local banks on matters related to Saudi entity
• Monitor the compliance of 3rd party suppliers to contractual obligations in terms of service receipts, payments, commissions etc.
• Review all external payments with head of AP including LC and BG processes
• Review and improve policies related to 3rd parties suppliers of labor, goods and services in terms of contracts, purchase orders, receipts of goods/services and payments.

Process Improvements and Systems

• Utilize financial systems and tools to streamline operations.
• Update and maintain accounting manuals and SOPs.
• Embrace emerging technologies like AI for better financial analysis
• Leverage ERP systems, Power BI, and planning platforms to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team. (AR, AP, Compliance, GL)
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute heavily to Finance team learning and development
• Active contribution to Saudization.

Communication & Working Relationships

Internal Communication: Finance Directors, Finance Team Members, Sales & Supply Chain Function Leads, Legal

External Communication: ERP teams, Universities for Talent development

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Controlling, ideally within the MENAP region
