Job summary

IHG is seeking a hospitality professional in Saudi Arabia to oversee day-to-day beverage service in a luxury hotel outlet. You will learn the menu deeply to advise guests, manage a service team, set up the outlet for smooth operation, and address guest questions with care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Service guests according to the hotel standard operating procedures.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the outlet menu to assist guests.
• Handle guest complaints and inquiries satisfactorily.
• Prepare the outlet for service and supervise smooth operation.
• Direct and supervise the service team to ensure duties meet standards.
• Ensure staff training is provided for duties.
• Organize, plan and control supplies; maintain beverage stock records.
• Minimize wastage, breakage and spoilage.
• Upsell techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.

Job description

Your day-to-day

• Perform all necessary tasks to service food & beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the hotel.


• Acquire in depth knowledge of the food & beverage menu of the assigned outlet in order to assist and provide advice to guests.


• Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and queries satisfactorily.


• Ensure the Outlet is set-up for service and supervise for a smooth operation.


• Direct and supervise the service team to ensure that all duties are performed as per standards.


• Ensure that all employees have received adequate training to perform their duties.


• Ensure proper organization, planning and control of supplies and maintain concise record of all beverage stock in order to ensure that the required is available.


• Ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage.


• Actively use up selling techniques bye exceeding guest expectations and to increase revenue.

What We Need From You :

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for :

• Similar experience in a luxury hotel.


• A business-related degree or equivalent.


• Experience in effective learning and development methods.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.


• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English.


• Additional language is an added advantage.


• Strong organizational skills.


• Result-oriented and self-motivated along with a positive attitude.
