Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia seeks a hospitality professional to lead F&B service in a luxury hotel outlet. You will deliver service to the highest standards, master menu details, and guide the service team to ensure a seamless operation.

You should combine luxury guest-service experience with strong organizational and English-language skills, and be prepared to train staff while actively promoting upselling to increase revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hotel guest service and F&B operations.
• Business-related degree or equivalent credential.
• Experience in learning and development methods is preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and diverse environments.
• Strong written and spoken English; additional language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service the food & beverage according to the hotel standards.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the menu to advise guests.
• Maintain excellent customer relations and handle complaints satisfactorily.
• Ensure the outlet is set up for service and supervise smooth operation.
• Direct and supervise service team to perform duties per standards.
• Ensure training for employees to perform duties.
• Organize, plan, and control beverage stock; keep concise records.
• Minimize wastage, breakage, and spoilage.
• Use upselling techniques to exceed guest expectations and boost revenue.

Job description

Your day-to-day

• Perform all necessary tasks to service food & beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the hotel.
• Acquire in depth knowledge of the food & beverage menu of the assigned outlet in order to assist and provide advice to guests.
• Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and queries satisfactorily.
• Ensure the Outlet is set-up for service and supervise for a smooth operation.
• Direct and supervise the service team to ensure that all duties are performed as per standards.
• Ensure that all employees have received adequate training to perform their duties.
• Ensure proper organization, planning and control of supplies and maintain concise record of all beverage stock in order to ensure that the required is available.
• Ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage.
• Actively use up selling techniques bye exceeding guest expectations and to increase revenue.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for :

• Similar experience in a luxury hotel.
• A business-related degree or equivalent.
• Experience in effective learning and development methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Additional language is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Result-oriented and self-motivated along with a positive attitude.
