Job summary

A luxury hotel in Mecca seeks a talented Chef de Cuisine to lead a vibrant kitchen and craft exceptional dining experiences. You will drive culinary excellence, mentor staff, and ensure flawless execution in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting.

The role requires creativity, international cuisine knowledge (with emphasis on Indian flavors), strong leadership, and excellent English communication. Evening/weekend work is expected; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting.
• Extensive knowledge of international cuisine, particularly Indian cuisine.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Strong organizational skills with multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Mecca without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Create new and innovative menus that are both visually appealing and delicious.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and hygiene standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared according to food safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or themed dinners.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen at all times.
