Role Summary

As an Enrolled Nurse within RAAFA, you will join a team of professionals in providing the excellent quality of care for which we are known, aligning with our values of Respect, Care and Honesty for both our residents and colleagues. Responsible for providing care and support to our residents in accordance with their care plans, you will work in conjunction with the Registered Nurse and Clinical Care Manager, organise the delegation of workload and develop meaningful relationships with them.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the assessment, development and review of resident care plans.
• Provide care and support to residents under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Clinical Care Manager.
• Identify, document and report on resident wellbeing and any change in status.
• Update residents' records as appropriate and in line with current legislation.
• Contribute to assessing the effectiveness of nursing care to achieve outcomes for residents.
• Perform specialised clinical nursing tasks within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse.
• Undertake other tasks as directed by the Residential Aged Care Management Team or Senior Management Staff working within the facility.

About You

• Eligible for registration with the Western Australian Nurses Registration Board as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Knowledge and understanding of the role and scope of work undertaken by an Enrolled Nurse.
• The ability to work autonomously as well as contribute to a multi‑disciplinary team that has a people centred focus of care.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
• Advanced decision making and problem solving skills.
• An understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
• Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, their families and staff.
