Advanced Metals Company for Mining (AMCO) in Dammam, SA is seeking a Production Engineer Valves to lead design, manufacturing, validation and verification for valve products used in oil & gas equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and about 10 years of related upstream oil & gas experience, with hands-on involvement in design reviews, field visits, DVRs and cross-functional

Qualificações

• 10 years of related work experience in oil & gas upstream products design and development.
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with design verification and technical reviews is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake contract/sales order reviews to identify commercial and technical risks.
• Develop new product design designs and improve and enhance existing ones.
• Participate in design reviews with the customer and gain acceptance of design specifications.
• Perform field visits and develop master layout plan and proposal for engineering design or modification based on customer requirements.
• Develop an overall project verification plan. Where appropriate include verification requirements from third parties and the customer.
• Identify and ensure equipment is designed in accordance with the current international standards.
• Identify improvements in existing products, procedures and processes and develop cast effective solutions to satisfy specifications.
• Communicate design specifications for interpretation by other engineers and designers.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical reviews.
• Prepare / manage execution plans for engineering deliverables.
• Undertake design verification to establish a full Design Verification Report (DVR) to satisfy the verification plan.
• Create and review drawings, calculations, procedures & BOM undertaken by others in support of design, ensuring the appropriate approvals.
• Review, update and develop manufacturing process routings.
• Work with other functions to solve problems, such as purchasing, manufacturing, testing, field services (Rig/customer site visit).
• Provide technical leadership and ownership of assigned projects.
• Work non-standard hours in support of rig down situations.
• Participate in continuous improvement of processes, tools and standards.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
• Comply with quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.

Role Purpose

The Production Engineer Valves is a competent individual capable of undertaking design, manufacturing, validation & verification activities on Valve products used in oil & gas equipment typically pressure containing and/or load bearing in nature, meeting internal & external engineering competence standards.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

Required Years of Experience

10 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Oil and gas upstream products design and development.
