Job summary

NTU International A/S seeks qualified experts to join its pool for the EU-MENA Clean Tech Cooperation project. You will provide specialised economic and market expertise for energy market analyses and scenarios across regional opportunities.

Selected experts will contribute to market studies, policy briefs and investment-related assessments, with emphasis on renewable energy and clean technology deployment within MENA and EU institutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree in economics, energy economics, finance, engineering, energy studies or related discipline.
• Proven professional experience in energy market analysis, economic analysis or energy-sector modelling.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy market, economic and sector analyses.
• Assess electricity market structures, pricing mechanisms and market trends.
• Conduct demand/supply and market potential assessments for clean technologies.
• Support energy market modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.

About NTU International A/S

NTU International A/S is a leading international consulting company providing project management and technical advisory services worldwide. NTU works extensively with European Union institutions, international financial institutions, development agencies, and public sector clients across energy, climate, infrastructure, governance, economic development, and sustainable investment.

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the EU-MENA Clean Tech Cooperation project and is expanding its network of qualified Non-Key Experts who may be mobilised on a short-term, on-demand basis during project implementation.

The project aims to strengthen EU-MENA cooperation on clean technologies and support the development of competitive clean energy markets, investment opportunities and sustainable energy systems across the region.

We are seeking qualified Energy Market & Economic Analysis Experts to join our expert pool and provide specialised economic and market expertise according to project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Selected experts may support activities such as:

• Conducting energy market, economic and sector analyses.
• Assessing electricity market structures, pricing mechanisms and market trends.
• Conducting demand, supply and market potential assessments for clean technologies.
• Supporting energy market modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Assessing the economic viability and competitiveness of renewable energy and clean technology solutions.
• Conducting cost-benefit, socioeconomic and market impact analyses.
• Analysing regulatory and market barriers to clean technology deployment.
• Preparing market studies, analytical reports, policy briefs and investment-related assessments.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Relevant university degree in economics, energy economics, finance, engineering, energy studies or a related discipline.
• Proven professional experience in energy market analysis, economic analysis or energy-sector modelling.
• Experience with renewable energy, electricity markets, energy transition and/or clean technologies.
• Professional experience in MENA energy markets is highly desirable.
• Experience with EU institutions, IFIs or donor-funded energy programmes is advantageous.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and reporting skills.

Language Requirements

• Excellent command of English.
• Knowledge of French and/or Arabic will be considered a strong asset.
