Job summary

Baker Hughes is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician in Saudi Arabia to troubleshoot, test, assemble and inspect mechanical assemblies. You will assist in repairs of non-conforming equipment and support engineering groups with data collection and testing.

The role requires a 2-year technical diploma or higher and at least 2 years of electro-mechanical experience, with strong English skills and proficiency in measurement tools. A shift-based pattern is offered.

Qualifications

• Have a 2 year technical diploma or Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical field or higher
• Have at least 2 years of related experience in electro-mechanical function
• Have advanced skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices
• Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists
• Be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes
• Be proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments
• Have strong written and oral English skills

Responsibilities

• Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy
• Configuring test stations and systems
• Analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests, and troubleshooting equipment problems
• Assisting in the set-up of experiments and the recordings of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups
• Testing and evaluating the performance and, if required, repairing general purpose test equipment
• Providing leadership/coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence
• Working in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:
