Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician in the Eastern Province, Dhahran Compound. The role involves troubleshooting, testing, assembling and inspecting mechanical assemblies while supporting repair/modification of non-conforming equipment.

You will work with Engineering and Reliability groups, and lead junior technicians. The candidate should have a 2-year technical diploma or associate degree in Electrical/Electronics and at least 2 years of electro-mechanical experience in

Qualifications

• 2-year technical diploma or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics field or higher.
• 2+ years of electro-mechanical experience in oil & gas.
• Strong soldering and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Proficient with measurement and gauging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review assembly, disassembly and test verification procedures.
• Configure test stations and systems.
• Analyze data from environmental tests and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist in experiments and record data with Engineering teams.
• Test and evaluate general test equipment; repair as needed.
• Provide leadership to other technicians; mentor as needed.
• Follow HS&E policies and procedures.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy
• Configuring test stations and systems
• Analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests, and troubleshooting equipment problems
• Assisting in the set-up of experiments and the recordings of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups
• Testing and evaluating the performance and, if required, repairing general purpose test equipment
• Providing leadership/coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence
• Working in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a 2 year technical diploma or Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics field or higher
• Have at least 2 years of related experience in electro-mechanical function in oil and Gas industry/domain
• Have advanced skills in soldering, assembling trouble shooting, of electro-mechanical devices
• Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists
• Be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes
• Be proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments
• Have a strong written and oral English skills
