Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to troubleshoot, assemble, disassemble and visually inspect mechanical assemblies. You will support testing, repair and modification of equipment, and contribute to experiments with Engineering and Reliability teams.

The role requires a 2-year technical diploma or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics, at least 2 years of electro-mechanical experience in oil and gas, proficiency with soldering, reading blueprints, wiring diagrams and

Qualifications

• 2 year technical diploma or Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics
• At least 2 years of electro-mechanical experience in oil & gas industry/domain
• Advanced skills in soldering, assembling, troubleshooting electro-mechanical devices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists
• Proficient in measurement and gauging equipment and processes
• Proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments
• Strong written and oral English skills

Responsibilities

• Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy
• Configuring test stations and systems
• Analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests, and troubleshooting equipment problems
• Assisting in the set-up of experiments and the recordings of experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups
• Testing and evaluating the performance and, if required, repairing general purpose test equipment
• Providing leadership/coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence
• Working in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction.

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy
• Configuring test stations and systems

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have at least 2 years of related experience in electro-mechanical function in oil and Gas industry/domain
• Have advanced skills in soldering, assembling trouble shooting, of electro-mechanical devices
• Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists
• Be proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes
• Be proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments
• Have a strong written and oral English skills
