Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as electrician.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to electricity.
• Familiarity with industrial or residential wiring practices.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Ability to identify the cause of malfunctions quickly and efficiently.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, crawl and lift heavy objects safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and control systems.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Install safety components such as fire alarms or lightning protection systems.
• Read blueprints or technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Perform any other duties as requested by management.
