Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its plant operations team in Riyadh. You will be responsible for safe, reliable operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, including MV/HV systems, HRSG, and STG support.

The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and adherence to safety protocols. The candidate should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in power plant operations, industrial maintenance, or electrical maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment while complying with all safety procedures, including LOTO requirements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary equipment to maximize plant reliability and availability.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain engine components, including injection pumps and engine stop systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair electrical panels, replacing components as required.
• Operate, maintain, and identify equipment within MV and HV systems.
• Support HRSG and Steam Turbine Generator systems.
• Utilize electrical testing and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Monitor operating parameters and instrument readings.
• Operate lubricating oil and fuel oil separators; monitor alarms and run checks.
• Monitor control systems, troubleshoot alarms and trips, support restoration activities.
• Analyze performance trends and contribute to improvements for plant efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance with standards.
