Job summary

Target Engineering and Construction Co. LLC in Khafji, Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Electrical QC Inspector to join our project team on Oil & Gas EPC mega projects.

You will lead inspection activities through testing, commissioning, and surveillance, ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE/NEC/API standards. Responsibilities include reviewing ITPs, method statements, drawings and documentation, witnessing pre-commissioning, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a QC Inspector - Electrical in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning in industrial/Oil & Gas environments.
• Experience reviewing quality documentation, inspection reports, and test records.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC inspections and surveillance for electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Conduct inspections for cable laying, glanding, termination, and insulation resistance testing, and installation of LV/HV equipment and switchgear.
• Witness and verify pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Raise, track, and close NCRs, punch lists, and quality observations.
• Coordinate with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, Engineering, and Client teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and IEC/IEEE/NEC/API standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports.
• Support client inspections, audits, and quality assessments as required.

YOUR ROLE

As our QC Inspector – Electrical, you will

• Perform QC inspections and surveillance for electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Conduct inspections for:, Cable laying, glanding, termination, and insulation resistance (megger) testing, Installation of LV/HV electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), panels, and related electrical systems., Electrical testing, continuity checks, functional testing, energization readiness, and commissioning activities.
• Witness and verify pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Raise, track, and close NCRs, punch list items, and quality observations.
• Coordinate closely with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, Engineering, and Client teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards including IEC, IEEE, NEC, and other applicable codes.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and documentation.
• Support client inspections, audits, and quality assessments as required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education / Certifications / Licenses

• Diploma or Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a QC Inspector - Electrical within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Proven experience in electrical construction, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning processes in industrial and Oil & Gas environments.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and API.
• Experience reviewing quality documentation, inspection reports, and test records.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment while meeting project schedules.
